I am forwarding a recent photo of Beau. I hope it comes through. He is very handsome!
Beau seems very happy. He has his favorite spots in the house. He likes curling up next to one of the heater vents these days. He is such a good boy. He lets me clean his ears without a fuss, and he likes his occasional bath.
I visit your web site often to see all the cute Bassets.

Here are some old and new photos of Homer our Homerific hound dog! He is the best. Very well behaved and makes us laugh every day. He tortures our tired old beagle/basset Butch. But we haven't seen him move so much in years!
He rolls on the floor with Bosley our cat. He has an identical sister and sometimes Homer mistakes Tinkerbell for Bos and gets a surprise swat on the nose! They are so funny together.
Homer is in excellent health and such a beautiful dog. We are so happy to have him. He is gentle and loving. One of a kind! Thank you for entrusting him to us.

Our boy is now at 51.8 lbs., without an ounce of fat. He climbs a very steep hill behind our house and really keeps in shape. He is a digger, so my lot is filled with G.I. fox holes up to 3 feet deep.
Thanks again for such a wonderful pet. All the best,

Dick and Georgia

Bernie has settled into his new home quite nicely. He has gotten so big in the short time we have had him and you werent lying when you said he was a ball of fire He certainly has alot of energy and personality. He is getting along real well with Ralph and Alliecat. They have become one big happy family together. In fact, Bernie has really helped to lift Ralph's spirits. Ralph is like a kid again, playing with Bernie and having a good time. They get along together like they have been friends for years. Ralph is really teaching him the ropes and also trying to teach him who is boss.
Bernie chases his toys and chews on my shoes and knows where the treats are kept when he comes in from doing his business outside. It took some time for Alliecat to figure out that Bernie was here to stay but they are buddies now. She wasn't too fond of the idea when little Bernie arrived but she has quickly taken a liking to him.Im so pleased to have Bernie here with us. He is such a good little pup and boy is he cute!! Thank you so much for help raising such a loving animal.

Here are pictures of Gracie resting after her "wild" New Years Eve (we stayed home a watched movies!).
I see on the website that you have 2 litters of puppies coming... we are thinking about it! Do you plan to have another litter with Bubba and Dixie? My husband would really like another one from the same parents.

I just wanted to send you a few pics and a bernie update he sure is growing more and more everyday! i often carry him around like a baby and let him sleep on my lap but i have realized that it wont be long before he wont be able to do that anymore he is such a ball of energy and loves to play i have so much fun with him when i come home from work and get down on the floor with him.
He loves to play fetch with his toys we have a basket of toys and he is constantly dragging each and every toy out of that basket our living room is dog toys from one end to the other ralph, allie and bernie are all good buddies and play with one another. although it seems sometimes like my house is a wreck and spastic animals running crazy throughout my living room, i do enjoy having them all here and im thankful they are loving animals who have become part of our family.

Hannah is great! Actually she is better than great. Hannah just went for one of her well puppy visits and is up to 16 pounds. Her feet are huge and ears are long! She fits right in with the other "kids" and can hold her own very well with the big dogs! In fact she likes to instigate sometimes! She is a character and not afraid of anything! At the same time as we suspected she has the sweetest disposition. She is such a lover. When she lays down she has to be touching either another dog or Tom and I. It cracks me up. Oh and she does not like the rain! She looks like she is tiptoeing when it is wet outside! Juiet also likes to be protective of her. They keep an eye out for one another! They just bring such happiness and laughter to the house. We couldn't be more pleased.

I just wanted to write and let you know how well Flash’s first day went. The car ride home went beautifully. A few howls and he was out like a light. He is eating, playing, napping, and napping some more! He slept through the entire night without making a sound, in his crate, upside down of course. I have never had such a mellow and sweet puppy. We absolutely love him.
Here is a picture from his first romp in our yard.

We had Gracie at the vet this week (routine visit) and a woman in the waiting room kept going on about how Gracie was the most beautiful basset she had ever seen! Of course we already knew that! My son was so proud, he came home and has been telling all the neighbors that we have the most "boo-tiful puppy in the world"!

Elvis is doing wonderful as you can see he really has made his self at home! He loves the Elmo chair and likes to sleep in it during the day. He is very comfortable in his crate now. He sleeps through the night there. Potty training is going well we do have little accidents here and there but that's expected. I'm thankful that we have a brownish color carpet! His next vet appt is on the 26th and I'm interested to see how much he weighs. I'll keep sending pictures! Hope all is well with your bassets.

Some pics of Gracie. Hard to get good shots of her these days. She is constant motion! Especially now that the weather is nice. My kids love to "read" books to her. She is so patient and just sits there. In the first pic they had long gotten bored of reading and I walked in and found her asleep on all the books! In the pic with my son, that is Gracie's chair. First place she heads when she goes out. She lays there in the sun.

Take care!

Hi, Brenda! I just wanted to give you an update on Rufus. He is adjusting well and seems to be very happy. I know that we are extremely happy to have him in our life. He is absolutely wonderful and we couldn’t ask for a better puppy.

Olivia is doing great! She has sucessfully captured the hearts of everyone in our building! She has even had a few playdates with a couple of the neighbor puppies!
We are getting much better with the crate too. She still barks for a minute when she goes in, but she takes naps in it on her own now! She still hasn't grown into her ears all the way and they drag sometimes on our walks.

Gidget is doing great! Loving going to all the lacrosse games and the farm with the horses! She had her second round of shots and the vet said she is the "perfect" puppy. We went again last week and she now weight 15 pounds. She has quite the personality and we absolutely love her! She loves hanging around her "pals" (the two golden retrievers we have), Baylee and Gidget romp all over the place! Potty training is going extremely well. She will go to the door and bark for the poopie thing but we are still working on peeing. She is just a great puppy.

Beau is one year old! We bought him a special bone for his birthday.
Beau has also started obedience school. There are about 10 dogs in the class, but guess who everyone fawns over? A young girl saw Beau and said to her parents, "Mommy that's the kind of dog I wanted!" Beau learns fast. HOWEVER, he does have a certain stubborness about him.
When people meet him for the first time, they often remark, "That's the longest Basset Hound I've ever seen."
He's a big boy, in great health, and an amazing dog.
Best wishes,
Joe

Hannah (and Juliet) are the joys in our lives. Hannah was spayed last Thursday. She did well. Although we had to laugh.....she is very vocal and so they felt she was in pain after surgery, so they gave extra pain meds. She has done well since then. Her weight is at 34 pounds! I think she might be bigger than Julie when all is said and done. She is without a doubt the sweetest girl!!! Her training is coming along. She still has moments, we usually kennel her when we go to work, but for short outings she is free with the big girls. Nothing major has been eaten. She has learned well that if she goes outside and comes back in she gets her scooby snack. She holds her own with the big dogs. Her brother Romeo and her are very close. Oh and she won't sleep unless she is touching someone.
